What To Expect
Learn about the ‘Hook to Plate’ journey with Nate from Gravity Fishing. He’ll take you out and harvest from the waters of Rakiura (Stewart Island) and teach you about our ethical, sustainable and environmentally friendly operation. When we return to dry land, you’ll see how our world class chefs take this super fresh catch and transform it into a mind-blowing dish right before your eyes! You can be as involved as you want to be, though most of our guests love to be fully immersed, learning how to harvest and look after their catch, then take advantage of the tips, tricks and cooking demonstrations from their dedicated chef. Others prefer to sit back at the end of the day with a glass of wine or cold beer and let the chef work their magic, it’s your experience, however you like it. The vino lovers can enjoy wine pairings and tastings as part of their package, so your fresh Kaimoana is complimented in the best way.
